Should we mention it's connection with other alluring voices?Like the singing of the river spirits? Piper was also able to ward it off,but I don't know if that was because of her Charmspeak giving her some sort of tolerence.

I think you mean the Sirens. While that is similar, it isn't exactly charmspeaking. The Sirens have a singing voice so beautiful that people are drawn to it and it seems to have some kind of magical ability that gives the listener visions. Charmspeak doesn't do that. I meant the scene in The Mark of Athena where Achelous was "singing" to them to come into the water, Piper related it to Charmspeak before canceling it I think 99.69.142.241 19:47, December 16, 2012 (UTC).
That doesn't really seem like charmspeak either, but mostly because it isn't Achelous that is talking. The river itself is trying to draw them in. It may just be a side effect of Achelous being a river god, but the power of the river is never fully explained. Darkcloud1111~Fastest Hero Alive 20:19, December 16, 2012 (UTC)
Piper was telling him to stop, and he said that singing was one of the few pleasure he had left, not the river. The river wasn't special aside from him I thought. Anyways, just think other uses of perswasive speak should maybe me mentioned as a super-catagory of charmspeak considering the other powers we list. The river or Achelous.

How come on the Circe page it says that she can make people do something even if they don't want to, but it says that users can't make people do something they don't want to do? Andrewh7 (talkcontribs) 06:34, January 4, 2015 (UTC) Andrewh7

Unless the book explicitly states that you can make other people do things, then take it off. Citations are your friends. SayuriDarling | Don’t leave me, I’m so lonely right now. 21:32, January 4, 2015 (UTC)
