Malcolm Pace is a son of Athena and is currently the Head Counselor of Athena's Cabin.

Malcolm happened to walk in upon Percy and Annabeth hugging while preparing for their quest into the Labyrinth, and he apologizes and leaves, but the moment was already ruined by Percy's awkwardness.

Malcolm was one of the campers that fought for Olympus in the battle of New York City. He led Athena's Cabin to the battle due to Annabeth being with Percy.

Malcolm became counselor of Athena's Cabin while Annabeth was with the Seven and attended the war meeting about the Roman invasion.

Malcolm commanded the defense when Nero assaulted Camp Half-Blood because Annabeth only attends camp during the summer. He also mans a command post in the battle against the Colossus, and is, according to Apollo, wearing a leather cuirass and red boxer shorts.

The Tower of Nero

When Annabeth heads to college, he becomes the cabin's new counselor. When Apollo asks for information on Nero's Tower, the son of Athena says he can get the information from him in four weeks, three weeks "if we push it," causing Apollo to cry. He presumably joins the rest of the forces of Camp Half-Blood in fighting in the Battle of Nero's Tower.

Will mentions the son of Athena to Nico when saying his coming out gave Malcolm and others the courage to come out as well.

• ADHD: Like all demigods, Malcolm possesses inborn supernatural battle reflexes and senses that he uses to analyze the fighting style of his opponent.

He is very knowledgeable in architecture, history, and Greek myths, which is very useful in journeys and battles.

He is also a master strategist, able to direct the attacks on the Colossus Neronis.

He is skilled in armed and hand-to-hand combat and was trained during his stay at Camp Half-Blood. He, as other Athena demigods do, seems to prefer the grappling hook as a weapon.

He is extremely intelligent, wise, and clever.

Due to the fact that he is a son of Athena, he is accomplished at arts and crafts.
