Jacob Allen "Jake" Abel (born November 18, 1987) is an American actor who was born in Canton, Ohio.
He plays Luke Castellan in The Lightning Thief and is set to reprise his role in the film adaptation of Percy Jackson: the Sea of Monsters.
For his role of Luke Castellan in The Lightning Thief, he was nominated for MTV Movie Award and Teen Choice Award for Best Fight Scene.

Abel[1] was born on November 18, 1987, to Kim and Mike Abel, in Canton, Ohio. When he began acting, he became home schooled by his mother. In his late teenage years, Jake first made is acting debut in the Disney movie Go Figure as Spencer, a hockey coach. The same year, he appeared in three episodes of the science fiction sitcom Threshold, as a young man gone evil.

In 2012, Jake Abel was chosen to play Ian O'Shea in the 2013 film adaptation of The Host, by Stephenie Meyer. He is known for playing Adam Milligan in the TV series Supernatural. He happened to be in the movie adaptiation of I Am Number Four. He is also set to return in Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters playing Luke Castellan, as he did in Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, which is based on the novel of the same name. The movie is set to be released on August 7, 2013.
