History
Edit
Harriet Tubman was a very important conductor of the Underground Railroad. However, the Underground Railroad wasn't a railroad at all, but a chain of Union supporters that housed and hid escaped slaves. Conductors were people that helped guide the slaves up to the Northern states to freedom.
